You Are Not Alone

You Are Not Alone is a collection of events and life experiences expressed through the voices of the person who endured this crisis. You Are Not Alone consists of detailed events experienced by the youth and young adults from the inner city of Chicago and surrounding suburban areas.

This book shares tails of bullying, drug abuse, self-harming, alcoholism, suicidal ideation, low self-esteem, and body shaming just to name a few topics of discussion.

These brave young adults opened up and put the burdens to paper for others to read. They let their guards down and decided to share their experiences just in case someone reading this book is going through a similar situation.

These youth and young adults want others to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. They want to let the readers know that even when you are at your darkest hour and feel like all hope is gone, it is possible to overcome tribulations. 

The writers of these excerpts want you to experience their journey of triumph over tribulation and to know that IT IS OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY!
